No Straw Day in the Chinese University of Hong Kong

As part of a ‘UNIfy: Skip the Straw’ Campaign jointly organized by eight publicly-funded universities of the Hong Kong Sustainable Campus Consortium (of which CUHK is a member)*, CUHK held a ‘No Straw Day’ on campus on 14 March. The following canteens/cafes/restaurants rendered support to the ‘No Straw Day’:

Earlier on, CUHK has also joined Ocean Park Conservation Foundation’s ‘No Straw’ Campaign, which runs from November 2017 to July 2018. The latest ‘UNIfy: Skip the Straw’ Campaign aims to raise student and staff awareness about disposable plastic waste via a joint-U platform and generate a greater impact by having eight institutions work towards the same goal.

*The eight publicly-funded universities are: City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Lingnan University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Education University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and The University of Hong Kong
