Distinguished Lecture on Sustainable Development (DLSD) invites world-renowned experts to share their perspectives on pressing global sustainability issues, offering profound insights and inspiring new approaches. DLSD seeks to stimulate ideas, foster dialogue, and encourage collaboration among academia, philanthropy, government, business, and non-profits to advance sustainable development at local, national, and global levels, and to make progress towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This initiative plays a crucial role in communicating the SDGs to a broader audience and driving SDG localization through expert insights.
As of July 2025, SDSN Hong Kong has organized 3 Distinguished Lecture on Sustainable Development (DLSD), in partnership with institutions such as the Australian Consulate-General Hong Kong. These events have engaged over 300 attendees, serving as catalysts for international intellectual exchange and broad engagement with critical sustainable development issues.
